Doha, March 23 (QNA) - Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 84.21 points (+0.81%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,445.24 points.
Trading value during this week decreased by 57.67% to reach QR 1,810,417,099.63 compared to QR 4,277,114,573.70.
Trading volume decreased by 50.55% to reach 50,702,469 shares, as against 102,533,901 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 37.06%, to reach 19,951 transactions as compared to 31,697 transactions.
Market capitalization rose by 0.61% to reach QR 559,556,204,958.29 as compared to QR 556,139,590,587.96 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 50.68% of the total traded value. Real Estate sector accounted for 14.37%. Industries sector accounted for 13.72% and Telecoms sector accounted for 8.31%.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded volume this week with 42.4% of the total traded volume. Real Estate sector accounted for 22.74% and Telecoms sector accounted for 18.27% and Industries sector accounted 7.93%.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 37.51% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 18.14%. Real Estate sector accounted for 17.18% and Telecoms sector accounted for 9.70%.
From the 44 listed companies 26 ended this week higher, while 17 fell and one unchanged.
Qatar International Islamic Bank led traded value this week with 21.37% of the total traded value. Masraf Al Rayan accounted for 11.20% and Barwa Real Estate accounted for 7.69%. (QNA)
