Kabul (BNA) Though with deep regret over the casualties and injuries from the recent snowfalls, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said the government would do more for the welfare of the people as he took the fresh snowfall a good omen for a blessing future.
The president said he was saddened by heavy casualties of up to 160 Afghan citizens in different parts of the country between two solar months of Jaddi and Dalw, the statement said adding the casualties have mostly been occurred by non-paying attention of the people of the pre-cautions of the officials from the most likely incidents to happen.
Hundreds of residential units have been destroyed during the natural disasters, regretted the president adding the victims were mostly in Nuristan, Badakhshan and Parwan provinces.
The government’s considering preparations could rescue many people including thousand people in Ghazni province and opened the avalanched pilled roads to the passengers in many districts connecting the provincial capitals, said the statement quoting the president.
The president assured that the related organs would do their best to provide more facilities for the countrymen during the natural incidents and cautioned the people to remain vigilant to share any possible incidents with the officials duly to prevent any possible occurrences.
He said the organs concerned should also remain on alert during the upcoming spring’s rainfall and help the people safe of any possible natural risks, quoted the statement.
The upcoming Friday (Juma Al-Mubarak) should be taken as the holy Quran recitation day to pray for the soul of those lost their lives and thank Allah for his bless to end drought in the poverty suffered nation.
