AKP Phnom Penh, September 24, 2016 –
China’s Sichuan New Hope Agribusiness (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. has invested another US$6 million to establish the second animal feed mill in Cambodia after the success of the first factory in 2010.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the factory in Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone early this week, Mr. Du Jiang Ping, Director General of SNHA, said due to the increasing demand of animal feed here, the company decided to establish the second factory equipped with sophisticated technology.
The factory will contribute to boosting agricultural and economic sectors in Cambodia, added Mr. Du Jiang Ping.
In reply, H.E. Veng Sakhon, Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, said the agricultural sector will help reduce poverty in Cambodia and the factory is in line with the ministry’s agricultural policy 2014-2018.
Besides, the factory will help increase local people’s income and give jobs to them, underlined H.E. Minister.
