Chisinau, 08 February /MOLDPRES/ – The Constitutional Court of Moldova (CCM) was accepted in
Superior Courts Network (SCN) of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
According to CCM’s press service, with acceptance into the SCN, the Court will have access to
the secure website through which communication occurs and the interaction between network
members.
Consequently, CCM will have access to research reports detailed, particularly on issues related
to the ECHR jurisprudence, comments of lawyers on important ECHR decisions published on
SCN network on the day of judgment utterance, published tables of summaries of
important decisions carried out during the week and "fast research elements" that are topical
selections of ECHR jurisprudence.
The action will contribute to CCM development, as the national mechanism for human
rights and standards promoted by ECHR.
The initiative to create SCN appeared in the reform of ECHR, as a result of intergovernmental
conferences in Brighton (2012) and Brussels (2015), as a tool to support the application
of the European Convention. The network was officially launched on 05 October 2015,
the aim being to create a modern way, practical and useful dialogue between ECHR
and SCN members. Currently, the network includes the Superior Courts in more than 20 countries.
