MURATA MACHINERY SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is pleased to announce on January 11 the official procurement and deployment of our autonomous floor scrubber and drier, "Buddy," at Singapore Changi Airport by Changi Airport Group (S) Pte. Ltd. With our independently developed "Intelligent Transfer Navigation System" ("It's Navi (R)"), Buddy enhances cleaning efficiency and reduces the manpower required for cleaning large spaces, especially during night-time cleaning operations.

With It's Navi (R), we have transformed a manual push-behind type cleaning machine into an autonomous cleaning robot. Buddy is capable of memorizing up to 64 different routes, complete with the data of water usage, pad/brush pressure, speed and vacuum power used at every moment of each cleaning route. With this, Buddy can flawlessly reproduce highly optimized and efficient cleaning operations of a veteran cleaning staffer using traditional cleaning equipment.

Buddy has been delivering excellent cleaning work at one of the busiest airports in Japan with airport authorities giving good reviews on its cleaning performance. After its deployment at Changi Airport, Buddy is expected to see use in a variety of places, such as big shopping malls, hospitals and public spaces.
