Hungary's meteorological office warns of plunging temperatures

Extreme cold, stormy winds and snowdrifts are forecast for Hungary over the next few days, the National Meteorological Service said in a statement.

Temperatures are expected to plunge to below -20 C tomorrow in eastern parts of the country. In counties further west and Budapest the mercury is expected to fall to below minus 15 C.
