| Amman, Oct. 2 (Petra) -- Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab will host a ceremony to distribute awards on winners of "Innovate for Refugees" competition, which will be held next Tuesday at King Hussein Business Park, here in Amman. The forum aims to honour the most innovative IT-based solutions that would ease the suffering of refugees around the world. "Innovate for Refugees" competition was launched in June 2016 in cooperation with Zain and MBC Hope, with the support of UNHCR, Josoor non-profit organization, Uber, and 300 other partners. More than 1,600 applications were received from various countries and industries, with most coming from Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon. Twenty-one candidates were shortlisted, based on certain criteria, including the innovation, impact, scalability, team-member and financial sustainability of the solution, among others. | ||
